Dennis Rey

My History as a painter/artist: I have been painting since I won my first art exhibit at 8 years old at the "South Coast Plaza" art exhibit I was featured in the Orange County Register with a photo of me standing next to a Senator. That same color drawing went on to the Laguna Beach "Sawdust Arts Festival. I continued from that point encouraged by my mother Laura H. Rey as she was my mentor. She paints in Oils and I would watch her paint for many hours a day. On my 12th birthday I received an airbrush, That day forward I was determined to master the airbrush, I did in a very short time and was airbrushing everything I could and began my professional art career soon after by airbrushing my first surfboard after that was an arcade and so on. I had mastered water colors by the time I had my 17th birthday and had won many, many art exhibits in Southern California and began selling my paintings in art galleries throughout So. Cal. By my 18th birthday I had already been invited to exhibit about 20 of my paintings in the Museum of Art in Laguna Beach, Ca .
