Memphis Cafe & Bar

In August of 1995, Memphis opened it's doors and began to create a buzz. Regulars would bring friends. Their friends would bring more friends and the word was spreading slowly throughout Orange County.

The real boost came on November 5th, 1995 when S. Irene Virbilla, of the Los Angeles Times Magazine (Sundays), did a full review of Memphis complete with pictures and very favorable remarks - she loved it. By Monday morning, our voice mail box was full and the phone has continued to ring off the hook. The buzz had spread throughout Southern California. People came from everywhere, reservations were needed and the kitchen was in full swing.

The rest is - as they say - history. Memphis continues to draw a devoted following and consistently surprises and charms newcomers. Memphis is known as "The Jewel In The Rough"; where four friends became partners in shaping their dreams and attaining their goals.
