  Cine Alternativo: An independent film festival with films from Mexico\, C
 entral America\, South America\, North America\, the Iberian Peninsula\, C
 hicanadas and others. Created by visual artists\, photographers\, activist
 s\, and amateurs\, these films were frequently ignored by the industry due
  to lack of advertising\, promotion or big budgets. Seven films over seven
  days\, all free and open to the public.\nFriday\, January 7th\, 2011 at 7
 :30 P.M.\n'El Callejon de los Milagros' (The Alley of the Miracles) direct
 or Jorge Fons. Mexico. Based on the novel by Naguib Mahfuz\, winner of the
  Nobel Prize for literature in 1988.   This multi character storyline orig
 inally took place in the center of Cairo on the Alley of Midaq\,  the film
