COSTA MESA
Known as the “City of the Arts,” the city of Costa Mesa is home to the Theater & Arts District of Orange County. This well-planned cultural arts district located directly off the I-405 freeway contains exquisite performance halls, fine dining, and luxury shopping at South Coast Plaza. The Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Orange County Performing Arts Center, and Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory provide the community with a year-round showcase of professional music, opera, dance, theatre, musical theatre, and other special attractions for audiences of all ages to enjoy.
The Concert Hall is home to the Orange County Philharmonic Society and Orange County’s highly acclaimed Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Broadway productions, internationally known performers, and stellar ballet and modern dance companies appear here frequently. Directly across the street from The Center and the concert hall, South Coast Repertory is on the cutting edge of creative drama, and is one of America’s leading resident theaters for the development and production of new plays.
Costa Mesa is also home to the unique “California Scenario” sculpture garden created by Isamu Noguchi, and a stunning variety of indoor and outdoor contemporary sculptures and other art works by prominent artists, including Henry Moore and Richard Serra, whose newest piece, “The Connector,” is erected adjacent to the Concert Hall.
