2017 California-Pacific Triennial

The 2017 California-Pacific Triennial is the second triennial and a key component of the museum’s recently established Pacific Initiative with a focus on Pacific Rim contemporary art. Curated by OCMA Senior Curator Cassandra Coblentz, the exhibition explores architecture and the dynamic between time and stability in the built environment. The triennial will highlight visual artists who engage in the topic of architecture and the temporal precariousness of buildings as their subject. The exhibition will inhabit the gallery space of the museum and will continue with a series of installations and public events in and around the greater Orange County region.
