    Celebrating its fifth year, the Youth Film Showcase presented by Volcom will spotlight a unique selection of short films from around the world featuring a wide array of genres, including comedy, drama, suspense, romance, documentary, animation, science fiction and experimental.

    The Newport Beach Film Festival is thrilled to celebrate the artistic works and visions of young people from around the world. Through the exhibition of youth created media, the Festival seeks to create a forum for young filmmakers and encourage freedom of expression through cinema. The event will feature a Volcom Awards ceremony, a question and answer session with student filmmakers and cool Volcom giveaways. 2009 films include Half Alive: The Zombie Musical, Heat M.V., I Found Your Head the Other Day…,Johnny Goner, Ladies, Please, Oil Tribe, The Pool, Shrink Ray, SuperKitten and the Power Pets, Under the Full Moon, Untouchable, Wednesday.
