When composers emigrated to the United States from a turbulent Europe, some found a young Hollywood the only market for their work. The American Composers Festival 2009 explores these unique figures, pairing their exquisite film music alongside their concert works. There will be a free preview talk with host Joseph Horowitz, James Newton Howard and Paul Chihara at 7:00pm.
