Russia's legendary dance company returns to the Center for its fourth visit with its stunning production of La Bayad?re. The company is noted for its superb ensemble and magnificent productions, and La Bayad?re is an ideal vehicle to showcase both. The story of the temple dancer, or bayadere, her lover and their rivals also includes many of the greatest ballet showpieces, including The Golden Idol and the Kingdom of the Shades. As dazzling as it is moving, it is the Bolshoi at its grandest. Minkus' score will be played with a live orchestra.
