Handsome Brazilian opera baritone Paolo Szot took Broadway by storm with his debut there as Emile LeBecque opposite Kelli O'Hara in South Pacific. For his performance in South Pacific, he received the Drama Desk, the Outer Critics Circle, the Theatre World Award and the Tony Award, becoming the first Brazilian actor to receive such honors. He has also been nominated for the Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance.
