MUSIC

Leila Josefowicz
June 3-June 6, 2010
First, Ravel's lyrical "Mother Goose," originally a piano duet written for a patron's children. Then, Adams' electrifying concerto, featuring beautifully interwoven melodies that the orchestra picks up and tosses around like a musical volleyball. Next, Mozart's delightful Symphony No. 32, which has the feeling of an Italian overture. Finally, Stravinsky's magical, mythical "Firebird," so bewitching you may see the bird itself.
