Noah Purifoy and his Outdoor Joshua Tree Artsite

Join us for an evening dedicated to the artwork of the late assemblage sculptor Noah Purifoy. Sculptor, poet, educator and co-founder of the Watts Tower Arts Center, Purifoy left behind a 2.5 acre art site in Joshua Tree, CA. Guest Dance Faculty Robbie Shaw will be showing the film "Dominion", shot on location at the Purifoy Artsite. He will be joined by Claire Trevor School of the Arts Dean Joseph S. Lewis III to discuss the site.
The lecture and showing will take place at 7 PM May 26th, 2010, at HIB 110 (Humanities Instructional Building), Claire Trevor School of the Arts, University of California at Irvine. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so come early.
