UC Irvine's Drama Department, in association with the Academy of New Musical Theatre (ANMT), presents staged readings of new, original musicals.

      Last nights staged reading left the packed Winifred Smith Hall clamoring for more. The creative and bold directing of Mayrona DeLany drove a lyrical and historicaly fascinating tale of 14 women pilots crossing the country in planes. The songs are beautiful, haunting, funny and filled with hope and promise. The acting and vocal talents of the students rivaled the best of Broadway in our own back yard.
