Criminal Case 40/61: Reverb by Andrea Geyer

Some 40 years after the trial and execution of Adolf Eichmann (the "architect of the Holocaust"), the UAG showcases German artist Andrea Geyer's mid-career artwork related to these trials. Criminal Case 40/61: Reverb features an abstract of the Eichmann trial set in an archive and told through a six-channel video, each representing a character: Accused, Defense, Judge, Prosecution, Reporter and Audience. Based on transcripts of the actual trial as well as the writings of Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt, the six characters track the trial's historical context over the ensuing four decades.
