Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra opens the 2010-2011 season with Leonard Bernstein’s flamboyant “Slava!” – a rousing overture composed for cellist and conductor Mstislav (Slava) Rostropovich. PSYO then travels to Bulgaria for Petkov Stainov’s folkloric “Thracian Dances” before venturing into outer space in John Williams’ iconic suite from the film “Star Wars.”
