Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts with their popular production drawn from Leo Lionni’s exquisitely crafted Caldecott Honor-winning books: Swimmy, Frederick and Inch by Inch. These stories are lovingly translated into puppet theater, garnering international acclaim from audiences and critics alike. The show features an assortment of innovative puppetry styles and imaginative lighting techniques as well as a beautiful original score.

      We came down from L.A. County and braved rush-hour traffic to make Friday night's show, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The puppetry was brilliant, the score was moving and the venue was perfect... Expand

The puppetry was brilliant, the score was moving and the venue was perfect (size, lighting and acoustics). Only wish they had featured "Tillie and the Wall" in the show too. My little boy loved it!
