Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ wildly popular free Movie Mondays continues with Harold and Maude on July 18.
Featuring a remarkable soundtrack by Cat Stevens, this comedy tells the somewhat dark, but always hilarious story of teenage boy who meets an elderly lady at a funeral of a perfect stranger. Things get perfectly stranger and stranger as this unlikely pair find joy in each other and learn to celebrate all life has to offer.
Rated PG, 1971, 2 hours and 31 minutes
Movie Mondays is held on the Center’s inviting 46,000-square-foot Arts Plaza with the films projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall. Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs or other easily portable seating items. Set-up begins at 5:30 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). Guests may bring their own snacks and picnic suppers. Patina Catering will have assorted snacks and beverages available for purchase. Barbecues and similar food preparation will not be permitted.
