Art & Artifacts
March 10, 2012
18 local Orange County artists are preparing their works in a variety of media to display and sell at the Art Faire.
Heritage Museum's special behind-the-scenes display is taking shape. Old photos, some worn and faded, are being digitally restored and printed. Family trees for the Kellogg and Maag families are being produced, and artifacts of H. Clay Kellogg's engineering career, among other items, are coming out of their tiny storage room to be displayed for the first time in many years.
The South Coast Weavers and Spinners Guild will offer hands-on demonstrations of their craft.
The Orange County Blacksmith Guild will demonstrate iron-working techniques in the Heritage Museum.
Representatives from other museums and organizations will be on hand, including:
• Santa Ana Old Courthouse
• Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary
• Muckenthaler Cultural Center
• Rancho Santa Margarita Historical Society
• Costa Mesa Historical Society
• Orange County Historical Society
Enjoy a delicious lunch from our visiting Food Trucks:
• Front Porch Pops
• ... and more
There will also be Live Music, Tours of the 1898 Kellogg House and other activities.
Proceeds from this event benefit the children's educational field trip programs offered by Heritage Museum of Orange County.
