Guitar virtuoso John Schneiderman revives the legacy of the Russian guitar, an instrument that unlike its Western-European cousin is only now gaining the respect and recognition it deserves. The program explores several composers representing the wealth of the Russian guitar tradition on instruments from the period, featuring works written by Aksyonov, Alexandrov, Glinka, Lvov, Morkov, Sarenko, Sychra, Vetrov and Zimmerman.
