    Tabula Poetica: The Center for Poetry at Chapman University is dedicated to creating an environment to celebrate poetry in a variety of forms and venues. Here, we foster a culture of poetry appreciationby engaging and supporting the veteran writer, the novice poet, the student, and the general reader in an effort to share poems and conversation about this art form.

    Tabula Poetica: The Center for Poetry at Chapman University is dedicated to creating an environment to celebrate poetry in a variety of forms and venues. Here, we foster a culture of poetry appreciationby engaging and supporting the veteran writer, the novice poet, the student, and the general reader in an effort to share poems and conversation about this art form.

    Mark Jarman’s latest collection of poetry is To the Green Man (Sarabande Books, 2004). His collection,Questions for Ecclesiastes (Story Line Press, 1997), won the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize for 1998. He was the co-editor with Robert McDowell of The Reaper throughout the 1980's, and is the author of ten books of poetry, two books of essays, and a book of essays co-authored with Robert McDowell. He co-edited the poetry anthology Rebel Angels (Story Line Press, 1996) with David Mason. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Joseph Henry Jackson Award, three grants from the NEA, and a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. His 1991 book The Black Riviera (Wesleyan University Press, 1990) won the Poet's Prize. He currently teaches at Vanderbilt University.
