“Color Me Green” - A Creative Dramatics as a teaching modality for students with special needs workshop for Special Ed Instructors.

Presented by Sheila Silver, who currently teaches drama at San Juan Hills High School, Capistrano USD. She has been a theatre educator for 25 years in the Saddleback Valley, Culver City, and Capistrano Unified School Districts. She was an El Specialist in Orange Unified and worked with underperforming schools in several districts. She served as Director of Education at South Coast Repertory for six years. In addition to her current duties and responsibilities, her students are writing an original play on this years’ VSA theme, “Color Me Green,” which will tour to schools upon invitation.
 

This workshop will address:
♦ Movement ♦ The Five Senses ♦ Sound ♦ Creating Characters ♦ Using Props ♦ Narrative Pantomime ♦ Story Dramatization ♦ If special lessons are forwarded to her ahead of time, she will work with you on how to use all of these techniques in every subject area.
