Teacher's Day Out with Project Learning Tree

Learn how to integrate Project Learning Tree activities into lesson plans for grades K – 5 subject areas, and make outdoor experiences part of your students’ learning.

Laura Councilor will describe PLT’s GreenWorks! and GreenSchools grant programs and share PLT activities that include a community action component, involving efforts to make school grounds more green or enhance wildlife habitat. Naturalist Fiorella Gardella will pop in to show teachers some easy ways of incorporating Citizen Science into their lessons.

Teachers who attend will receive PLT’s PreK-8 Environmental Education Activity Guide, with 96 fun learning activites. PLT certified teachers are eligible to apply for GreenWorks! Grants once they’ve attended this training.
