Canadian photographer Jack Burman has created a collection of photographs that document preserved people, specimens, skeletons and medical abnormalities. Raised in Toronto, Burman studied English literature at the University of Toronto before beginning his career as a photographer. Inspired by Peter Hujar’s Portraits in Life and Death and early photographs of Sicilian catacombs, he found the subject matter for which he is best known.
