Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA)

With more than 3,000 works of art, OCMA offers an impressive collection of modern and contemporary pieces that focus on California artists. Exhibits include traditional paintings, sculptures and photography, as well as new media in the form of video, digital and installation art. Each month, the museum hosts events such as Thursday evening lectures, artists' talks and special activities for kids.

      Form, Balance, Joy is the most cohesive and exciting exhibit I have seen in years. I'm a horrible art critic and I just deleted my entire review because I realized nothing I could possibly say would adequately describe the experience of standing face-to-face next to the works in this show. They are breathtaking and imaginative and will make you wish you had the talent these artists (not just Calder!) have. Collapse
