    Founded in 1981, the Baroque Music Festival will celebrate its 30th season this year with concerts taking place in June. The Festival strives for historically accurate interpretations of the great masterpieces of the Baroque period (and a few later neo-Baroque works) and is blessed by singers and instrumentalists who are informed and sensitive to that style, the latter playing period instruments that are either antique or modern reproductions. Thus you will hear the music as it was heard when first composed. The Festival takes place at lovely venues, the Parish Church of Saint Michael and All Angels, the Sherman Library and Gardens, and the Newport Harbor Lutheran Church.where attendees can linger after the concerts to meet performers and socialize with each other over wines and waters.
