Free 5 Week Playwriting Class Series with Diana Burbano

Free 5 Week Playwriting Class Series with Diana Burbano

Presented by Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble at CSUF, Grand Central Art Center

DESCRIPTION:
This class explores the craft of writing for the theater. Through weekly assignments, in class writing exercises, and work on a sustained piece, students explore scene structure, action, events, voice, and dialogue. We actively discuss student work. This class's emphasis is on process, risk-taking, and finding one's own voice and vision. The goal at the end of the class session is a 10-minute play for presentation. The series consists of 5 classes that are a continuation of the week before. We ask that participants make at least 3 of the sessions.
