Izzi Tooinksy is a unique performer who combines two great forms of art: juggling and storytelling. Join him for an interactive play shop that highlights the lives of Early Californians, their stories, and the games they played.
Skill Games of Early California
CHILDREN LOVE GAMES! Throughout the ages games have been used not only for fun and enjoyment, but also to teach children the important qualities of patience, dedication, focused attention, and empathy. The Skill Games of Early California give our children the visceral joy of playing while at the same time teaching them the history, the aspirations, and the challenges of young people back in California’s amazing past.
The specific “Skill Games” we will work with are Native American Passing Sticks, Kendamas (ball and cup games), Juggling/Balancing skills, as well as The Mexican Devil Stick, Pioneer Hand Games and many more.
Included with Kidseum admission $ 8 for everyone over age 2; Free for Santa Ana residents and Bowers Museum members
