Kevin Miura was 13 when he won 2nd place and the Audience Prize and also a prize for being Most Outstanding Potential among the over 300 competitors--a two years loan of a 1713 Antonio Stradivari violin. He will play it during this performance. Now an 8th grade student in Irvine he will be joined for this evening by his violin teacher at The Colburn School in L.A. since 2008. Danielle Belen is a graduate of the USC Thornton School of Music and the Colburn Conservatory and now is on the faculty of University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
