    The love Bruce has for his art began when he was very young and spent many hours copying the paintings and drawings in his Grandfathers studio. At age 10 his first job as a budding artist was at church, drawing biblical scenes in colored chalk for the Pastors sermon.     The love Bruce has for his art began when he was very young and spent many hours copying the paintings and drawings in his Grandfathers studio. At age 10 his first job as a budding artist was at church, drawing biblical scenes in colored chalk for the Pastors sermon. Bruce studied art in high school (for an easy grade) and, throughout his years in the Air Force and Calif. Div. of Forestry, he continued to have a strong interest in art. He decided to attend Monterey Peninsula College, Art Center College of Design, and Calif. State University, Fullerton.
    In 1968, Bruce bagan his full time career in art with the intention of painting with honesty and challenging himself in the pursuit of creative vision and originality.
    He is a full artist member of the California Art Club and Laguna Plein Air Painters. Honors received include Echoes & Visions, Paint the Towne, California Exposition, Ciry of Paramount Fine Arts Commission, Chapman University, Capistrano Valley Conservancy, and Casa Romantica Benefit Art Exhibit. Museum exhibitions: Anaheim, Bowers Museum of Cultural Art, Irvine Museum, Long Beach City, Pasadena Museum of History, Pasadena Museum of California Art, and San Bernardino. In 2003 the Bowers Museum began a permanent collection of Plein Air Paintings by Living Artists. Bruce's painting of downtown Santa Ana was among the first paintings selected to open this important collection.
    Bruce is dedicated to the benefit of others by being involved in fund raising for the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, NM., Neighbors Relief Fund, Irvine Valley College, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Bowers Museum Art Commission, Capistrano Valley Conservancy, Crystal Cove Alliance, Casa Romantica, and for several parks and wilderness areas to support the preservation of our natural habitat and for educational programs.
