Dr. Willella Howe-House and Medical Museum
The Dr. Howe-Waffle House was built in 1889 by Alvin and Willella Howe, both were prominent Orange County physicians. The mansion was moved to its current location in 1975 to save it from an urban renewal project. The Santa Ana Historical Society restored the home and it is now used as a museum that is open for tours and events. Dr. Willella Howe-Waffle was one of the country's first woman doctors, delivering over 1,000 babies during her 38 years of practice.
