Rancho Sonado

Rancho Sonado, headquarters of Inside the Outdoors, is an environmental education facility located in the Santa Ana Mountains. Surrounded by preserves and national forest, Rancho Sonado offers an opportunity to explore local ecology in a pristine environment. Ecosystems represented include a pond, a riparian area, oak woodland and chaparral.

Students will experience local ecology in a pristine environment. They will identify significant features and patterns in this diverse ecosystem and find out how they fit into it as well.
