Briana Lyon

Art attempts to recreate the essence of life. I am an art historian, art maker and collector. Painting is how I identify with the world. I work with acrylic, encaustic, gouache and handmade paints on canvas and reclaimed surfaces. My style is influenced by the old, modern and contemporary masters. I also like to blend Chinese literati painting philosophy with inspiration from the artistic movements of symbolism, Impressionism and Fauvism. In my outdoor alter ego I create land art using Permaculture design and visions of our future collective landscape.
