Teressa Jackson

Teressa Lynn Jackson was born in Enid, Oklahoma, and grew up in New Albany, Indiana, a suburb located across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art, painting emphasis, from Louisville’s Bellarmine University in 1998. Teressa spent nearly twenty years working in the Louisville nonprofit sector, with most of her creative energy directed toward the organizations whose missions she was dedicated to advancing. In 2016, Teressa changed her life, spending a year traveling and renewing her lifelong need to create. During this time, she produced over 100 paintings and sold almost all of them. She and her husband then made Arizona their new home, where they lived for four years, relocating to Orange County, California, in 2021. Teressa’s work has been featured on the cover of the Tucson Weekly, in ShoutoutArizona and Voyage Phoenix, and was recently shown in exhibits at the Phoenix Airport Museum at Sky Harbor International Airport, FOUND:RE Contemporary, and the Huntington Beach Art Center. She has been juried into the 2022 Laguna Art-A-Fair. About her work, Teressa says, “I work to create scenes that convey my perception of the world in hopes of transporting the viewer to a moment, feeling, or fantasy made permanent. My goal is that my art will inspire others to see that beauty and magic are all around us if we look hard enough and let ourselves feel, wonder, and experience.”
