The Irvine Fine Arts Center is pleased to announce the annual juried All Media exhibition and invites Southern California based artists to submit artwork for consideration. This year, the exhibition will be juried by Dave Barton, the arts writer for OC Weekly. Submissions are being accepted through June 29, 2018, 11:59 p.m.

The Irvine Fine Arts Center is a community venue that presents exhibitions that are designed to expand awareness, understanding and sensitivity to art, and provide an exploratory and educational viewing experience for diverse audiences.

ELIGIBILITY

The exhibition is open to all artists residing in Southern California. All entries must be original and not shown previously at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. All media is eligible: painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, craft, installation, video and digital art. Work must be made within the last two years.

IMPORTANT DATES

Application deadline: June 29, 11:59 p.m.
Artwork delivery: Aug. 6-10
Exhibition dates: Aug. 25-Oct. 27
Opening reception: Aug. 25, 4-6 p.m.

ABOUT THE JUROR 

Dave Barton has written for the OC WEEKLY for over twenty years, the last nine as their lead art critic. He has interviewed artists from punk rock photographer Edward Colver to monologist Mike Daisey, playwright Joe Penhall to art provocateur Ron English. A Contributing Editor for ORANGE COAST magazine for two years, he wrote an art column focusing on the work of a single artist each month. He has contributed to the OC/LB BLADE, LA WEEKLY, and AMERICAN THEATRE magazines, as well as for on-line publication 1888center. He has received concurrent Best Arts or Culture Review awards over the past four years--2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016--by Orange County Press Club.
