Auditions - Community Theater

The Maverick Theater is holding auditions for its upcoming productions of Plan 9 From Outer Space and Night of the Living Dead. Auditions will be held on the same day and time for both productions. Only the roles specified are open.

Plan 9 From Outer Space - is a parody of the infamously bad 1959 Ed Wood film of the same name. Ridiculous in every way, Plan 9 From Outer Space follows a group of aliens attacking Earth, and the humans set on stopping them.

Night of the Living Dead - is a unique production that captures the feel of cinema and the in-your-face excitement of live theater. A group of panicked survivors are barricaded in a deserted farmhouse while a horde of flesh-eating zombies hovers outside their door.

Auditions will be held on August 20, 2022 at 11 am, at The Maverick Theater – 110 E Walnut Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832.

Please bring your headshot, resume, and proof of vaccination. Be prepared to read from the script and for a possible movement evaluation. Invited callbacks will be held as needed. More show information available at www.mavericktheater.com.

All actors must be fully vaccinated, and masks are required for auditions.

All available roles open to adults 18+. No pay.  Gas Stipend for actors traveling over 30 miles each way.
