“Mary Poppins”: The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England 1910 and the Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. The family finds that she’s the answer to their prayers, but in the most peculiar way. Using a combination of fantastical adventures and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Join us for this exciting musical which is the perfect opportunity to showcase strong talent.
The Arts & Learning Conservatory will hold an audition workshop focused on “Mary Poppins” on Saturday, July 27th. ALC audition workshops empower participants to audition for any theater opportunity with confidence by strengthening techniques in acting, dancing, and singing. Participants will learn performance readiness skills by practicing and understanding the process of a theater audition. Industry professionals help aspiring performers gain self-confidence by giving participants the tools they need for success, including what to expect in an audition, how to connect with material and how to understand and take direction. These workshops are held year round.
