Director of Development - South Coast Repertory

South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Director of Development to join a dynamic team of artists and staff in creating excellence onstage and in the community, by providing strategic leadership of Annual Fund and Deferred Giving Campaigns and participating in Endowment and Capital Campaign fundraising. This Executive Staff member works with executive and artistic leadership, Board and Development staff to plan, implement and evaluate the theatre’s overall fund development program, and assist with board development and long-range planning.  Supervising a staff of six, the Director of Development reports to the Managing Director.

Candidates should have a successful track record in soliciting gifts of $25,000+; an ability to think strategically, manage multiple projects and evaluate programs; an ability to lead and manage volunteers and staff; and skill in presenting and interpreting fundraising programs to board, staff, and key constituents to motivate involvement and support. Strong communication skills; familiarity with Tessitura, fundraising analytics, and prospect identification, research and stewardship skills; and a passion for theatre are also required.
