Garden Educator

Sherman Library & Gardens in Corona del Mar is hiring a full time Garden Educator.

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for communicating about plant science, gardening for nutrition and environmental awareness? The Garden Educator will work with a wide range of people to give them opportunity to learn about and engage with our nationally renowned botanic garden. The successful applicant will take a lead in developing and teaching our Next Generation Science Standards-linked field trip program for schools, as well as creating and delivering sessions such as our 'Garden to Table' extra-curricular classes.

The Garden Educator will work mostly with early childhood and elementary groups but also middle, high school, college and community groups as needed. They will also work with our Docents to support them in delivering tours. The applicant should demonstrate experience teaching in a botanic garden, horticulture or K-6 setting.
