Graphic Designer
Reports to Senior Manager of Creative Service
Department: Marketing & Public Relations
Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Position Summary
Pacific Symphony seeks a graphic designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media — including brochures, websites, program books and more.

Responsibilities
Defining project requirements and timelines, gathering information and visual assets
Scheduling projects and defining constraints
Using Adobe Creative Suite to conceptualize and create collateral material – including brochures, fliers, postcards, advertisements, e-mails, reports, social media, etc.
Working effectively with others at all levels of the organization to obtain necessary approvals; amending designs as needed
Delivering usable files for output appropriate to intended media
Working with internal constituents and outside vendors to assure compliance with established brand standards across all media
Assisting in development, refinement and enforcement of uniform graphic standards, visual strategies and language usage
Maintaining technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies
Contributing to team results performing other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Superior creative instincts, taste and judgment
A strong portfolio of design projects — including direct mail, advertising, websites, signage, branding and more.
Demonstrated skill in written and verbal communications, graphic design, and layout
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Ability to carry significant bandwidth in managing multiple projects at various stages, setting priorities, following through and meeting deadlines
Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in graphic arts, design, fine arts, marketing,  communications or related field
Experience in arts organizations &/or other non-profit organizations a plus
