Investing in the Artist Grant: Arts Organizations

The City of Santa Ana Arts & Culture Office invites arts organizations to apply for the Investing in the Artist Grant: Arts Organizations.  These grants distribute small but impactful funds to arts organizations/cooperatives, serving as a catalyst to further the organization’s work while living and creating in Santa Ana, resulting in a more vibrant local art scene.  Projects must be participatory and include an interactive component with the artwork or program itself (ie:  hands-on workshop or spectator involved visual art).

The Arts & Culture Office seeks to award grants in the amounts of up to $10,000 for individual artists who will enrich and invigorate the Santa Ana arts and culture landscape with participatory art.

Nonprofit arts and culture organizations/cooperatives that meet the following criteria are welcome to apply:

• Organizations with arts, culture, design, or creative innovation focus
• Organization must be based in Santa Ana and/or serve Santa Ana communities
• A representative from the organization must attend one Information Session
• Small projects are welcome as long as they positively impact the organization’s purpose or mission
• Project may be a part of an applicant’s regular season or activities
• Single short-term projects (ie: dance festival) may apply for event support for that event
• Applicants may not apply for consecutive grant cycles for the same project
• Only one application per project will be accepted
• Organizations may not apply separately for the same project
• Former recipients who have not completed prior grant projects may not apply
