View Position Details

This is an exciting point in the Museum’s evolution, as OCMA is in the midst of an historic transition to its new 53,000 square foot home at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, currently under construction, and opening in fall 2022.

The Manager of School & Youth Learning manages the development and delivery of inclusive, innovative, and youth-centered programs that activate art as a conduit for interdisciplinary and social-emotional learning. Responsibilities include designing and facilitating school tour curriculum; developing family and intergenerational programs; launching pilot teen programs; and researching and designing teacher workshops. Focus areas include building new relationships with schools, teachers, and community groups to celebrate and support Orange County youth; designing programs that build creative and critical thinking skills through art; increasing access, inclusion, and equity; incorporating wellness and mental health into educational pedagogy; and budget management.

The Manager will also be responsible for the training, supervision, and coaching of museum educators and docents.

Please submit cover letter and resume to Vickie Byrd, Chief Human Resources Officer, vbyrd@ocma.art
