Arts Orange County (ArtsOC), the nonprofit arts council designated by the County of Orange as its official local arts agency, seeks a part-time Program Assistant to help support the wide variety of programs and services it offers to artists and arts organizations in our community. The position assists in maintaining ArtsOC’s online portal of arts resources (SparkOC.com) and creating and scheduling social media posts, and requires strong writing and editing skills and familiarity with Facebook page administration. Knowledge of WordPress is a plus. Additionally, the position handles general office support tasks, such as assisting with events and helping to coordinate mailings.
This is an hourly position (starting rate based upon experience) with a flexible schedule (a minimum of 10 hours weekly, M-F) and is located at ArtsOC’s offices in the Pacific Symphony/OC Music & Dance building in Irvine, conveniently located on the corner of MacArthur Blvd. by the 55 Freeway between the 405 and 5 Freeways. The building has free parking and a café on site. ArtsOC has a business casual environment with a small collegial team. The right candidate is someone who loves the arts and is eager to help our small but impactful organization strengthen Orange County’s arts ecology.
