Artist/Artist Team Call

The City of Salinas and the Arts Council for Monterey County (Arts4MC) in collaboration with Caltrans invites California-based artists or artist teams to submit a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to create and install three (3) large-scale murals on underpasses of Highway 101 at Alisal, Market, and Sanborn Road, in the Alisal neighborhood of Salinas.  Special consideration will be applied to Monterey County, specifically Salinas artists.

Deadline:  June 15, 2022 at 10:59 p.m.

Eligibility:  Applicants must be based in California with preference given to Monterey County, specifically E.
Alisal and Salinas applicants. Teams selected from outside Monterey County must include a local artist as a member. Proposal must include a community engagement component including collaboration with local youth.
