Storytellers Age 18-25

Laguna Playhouse launches a new outreach program utilizing theatre arts to strengthen one’s own health and well-being, strengthen community connection, and envision a better future for all - Our Stories.

Currently, the training and sharing of Our Stories will be conducted through online platforms to provide an engaging opportunity for those in new isolating conditions.

Our Stories is the newest initiative of the Laguna Playhouse Education & Outreach Programs, built upon more than 50 years of providing Youth Theatre and Educational Outreach in Orange County. Our Stories engages participants to create original dramatic works, using their own life experiences as inspiration and catalyst for healing themselves and others in their community.

Our Stories pilot will focus on Transitional Age Youth (TAY), 18-25 year old young adults, who experience isolation and behavioral health challenges. We will work with individuals and targeted groups at schools, as well as other nonprofit organizations serving TAY and at-risk young adults, to creatively explore and share their life experiences through storytelling, playwriting and a shared performance opportunity.
