The City of Tustin
The Pioneer Road Park Seat Wall Mural Public Art Project medium is open. The use of color and imagery, literal and abstract, which enhances and inspires Pioneer Road Park as a rustic park destination for local families interested in enjoying the spray ground, playing on the old west playground, or utilizing the open field for activities. All proposals to be considered should reflect the local western elements that have become iconic with Pioneer Road Park. All proposals to be considered should be family friendly.
Artists must submit a resume, images of their previous work, and a color rendering of the proposed design and palette of the wall mural. The process to select and award an artist for the project will include a review and evaluation of proposals by the City of Tustin Public Art Committee comprised of community members appointed by the City Council. Final approval will be made by the Tustin City Council. The selected artist will be required to sign a project agreement which will include a provision waiving the artist’s rights to the Visual Artists Rights Act and California Artists Preservation Act. The completed project shall be the sole property of the City of Tustin.
