Program Description

West African Drumming (for grades K-12): Refine listening skills, gain musical knowledge and learn performance techniques through the creation of a symphony of African music. Students play authentic drums, hand-craft their own instruments and learn rhythmic interplay. This residency provides an introduction to various elements of music including dynamics, rhythm and tempo.
