21st Annual Laguna Plein Air Quick Draw Painting Competition

All 30 Laguna Plein Air Invitational Artists will gather at Laguna’s Heisler Park for a 2-hour Quick Draw Painting Competition (2-4pm) along the coastline between the north end of Main Beach, throughout Heisler Park, as far north as Diver’s Cove. The public is invited to take in the views and watch as the Artists create plein air masterpieces from start to finish in 2-hours! You’ll be amazed at what these plein air rock stars can do under pressure!

Immediately following the end of the painting competition, the Artists will take their wet paintings to the Laguna Festival of Arts for framing, exhibition and silent auction. The public is invited to join us at the Laguna Festival of Arts for a Meet & Greet with the Artists (4:30-5:30pm) and the Quick Draw Exhibition and Silent Auction (5:30-6:30pm). Refreshments and no-host bar will be available. This is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists… and bid on a special painting that you watched the artist paint — you’re collecting both a painting and an experience!

Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the artists and nonprofit Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.

The award winning painting will be revealed during the October 12th Collectors Gala — award sponsored by Southwest Art Magazine.
