42nd Annual VSA Festival

The VSA Festival includes pre-festival entertainment by the Darden Sisters, at 10:45 a.m., followed by the Opening Ceremonies at 11:00 a.m.  William Allen Young, starring in the hit series, “Code Black,” will emcee the program to include dance, music and theater performances by young children and adults, dignitaries will be acknowledged, and the theme art winner will be introduced.  The theme, “You’ve Gotta Have HeART” will be included in performances and workshops throughout the day, from 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m.  There will be dance, music, theater, and martial arts performances, along with storytelling and participatory dance workshops.  Throughout the Mall, students can participate in FREE “make and take” workshops.  The 800 piece are exhibit will be on display through Mothers Day, in order for the enjoyment of families and mall shoppers.
