April Fools’ Day

Everyone is a fool on April Fools’ Day! On a day like this you never know what to expect. Farm Fruits and Vegetables at the Beach? How did they get there? Books planted in the Farm? Will they grow? It’s going to be a foolish day here at Pretend City. Join us for these foolish activities and get your sillies out:

Sensational Storytime: Wacky Wednesday > It’s not Wednesday but it’s a wacky day at Pretend City and it’s a wacky day in this fun book by Dr. Seuss. We will watch this video book on the big screen in Orange Plaza followed by a wacky shoe art activity led by one of our foolish Pretendgineers.

Loud & Proud: Knock, Knock > Want to learn some good jokes to tell your friends and family? Do you know any good Jokes that you would like to share? Come share your jokes with us in Orange Plaza during our Loud & Proud activity which will give children the opportunity to speak up and share with a small group of their peers. These activities will build up your child’s confidence and self-esteem and prepare them to be successful in school.

Let’s Move: Get the Sillies Out > Come join us for a Dance Party in Orange Plaza to jump, shake, and shimmy those sillies out with Yo Gabba Gabba on our big screen. We will sing and dance to this song 3 or 4 times to get all those sillies out from celebrating April Fool’s day.

Smart Art: Fool’s Art > Come make a silly face in our art studio using different silly materials.

Simple Science: Oobleck > Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid. It has properties of both a liquid and a solid. It acts like a liquid when being poured and then like a solid when a force acts upon it. It will ooze out of your hands if you try to gold it. Come have fun with this foolish substance in the Real Café.
