ARCE: Genetic Testing the Amarna Royal Family with Diane Mueller Hagner

Presented by Diane Mueller Hagner, Vice President for the ARCE-OC: American Research Center in Egypt: Orange County Chapter (ARCE OC) board.  The post-Amarna line of succession for the late-18th Dynasty kings has been a lasting Egyptological mystery. One unresolved question is the true parentage of Tutankhamun, and establishing the genetic relationships of the Amarna royal family has been an ongoing challenge. This talk will present the scientific data and arguments for and against these identifications. Using all available evidence, can more concrete conclusions about these Amarna family relationships be established?
