Arts and Community Free Painting Classes

On Saturdays we are now offering a free online two hour Painting Class open to all ages. Please feel free to join us. For More information and supplies list please click here

Open to all ages this class is an on going creative place to learn the techniques and skills of painting in a fun environment. In keeping with the current norm of Social distancing we will be using zoom. Our class takes place at 1:00 PM on Saturdays.

Paints and Supplies:

This is a general list of Supplies. You may find you will want to add to it as you go along.

• Canvas or board painted white. 8″ x 10, 9″ x 12″ or 11″ x 14″
• Bucket for water (not a cup)
• Paper Towels or a rag
• Palette: palette paper, foam plate (not paper), Freezer paper
• Optional Hair Dryer

Paints
Grumbacher makes a mixing paint set which is a good starter set. it contains the following colors:

• Process magenta
• Process cyan
• Process yellow
• Grumbacher red
• Ultramarine blue

In addition:
Mars Black

Brushes

• 1 inch flat Brushes.
• Assorted smaller flat and round brushes.
• Diaso has a five pack of brushes which I have had good results with
